How to connect ReelVision to Claude
To connect ReelVision, open Claude’s connector settings, add a custom connector with the URL below, click Connect and sign in with Google. It takes about a minute and works on claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code.

Open Settings in Claude, then Connectors.

Choose Add custom connector.

Enter the name ReelVision and the URL https://reels.hashirfiles.com/mcp, then choose Add.

Choose Connect and sign in with Google in the new tab.

Approve the connection, return to Claude and check that the tools are available.
Custom connectors are available on Claude Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. Free users can add one custom connector. Check Anthropic’s current custom connector guide before connecting. Managed workspaces may need administrator approval.
Claude Code
Add ReelVision from your terminal:

First use
Paste any public Reel, TikTok or Short link and ask: What happens in this video? ReelVision gives Claude the caption, transcript when available and keyframes.
Limits during the beta
ReelVision supports videos up to 90 seconds and 5 new reels per user each day. The count resets at 00:00 UTC. Cache hits don’t count. Higher limits are coming soon.
Troubleshooting
Google shows "Error 400: redirect_uri_mismatch" or "app not verified"
ReelVision's Google sign-in needs a configuration fix. Contact the maintainer with the error code. Do not send your password or a token. Try again once the maintainer confirms the fix.
The connector says it needs to reconnect
ReelVision may need a fresh Google authorization. Open Claude's connector settings, select ReelVision and reconnect. Complete Google sign-in, then return to your conversation.
Instagram is asking for a login right now. Try again in a few minutes, or send a TikTok/YouTube link.
ReelVision could not open that Instagram link because Instagram requested a login. Wait a few minutes and try again, or send a public TikTok or YouTube link. Signing into Google does not sign ReelVision into Instagram.
This post is private or was deleted, so I can't open it.
ReelVision can open public videos only. Check that the post is still available without the creator's private-account access. Try a different public video.

Remove or disconnect
Open Claude’s connector settings, select ReelVision and disconnect or remove the connector. Disconnecting stops future use; it does not delete existing usage records. See requesting data deletion for the deletion process.
